We’re exactly a month out from the hotly-anticipated premiere of Game of Thrones season 6 and to celebrate, Entertainment Weekly has assembled the leading ladies of HBO’s acclaimed political drama with today’s series of character posters.

From a battle-ready Brienne of Tarth (Star Wars: The Force Awakens star Gwendoline Christie) to Lena Headey’s physically and emotionally scarred Cersei Lannister, the vast majority of the show’s female leads are all here, as they prep for what HBO showrunners consider to be the best season to date.

Those chess pieces will be scattered all across Westeros, with HBO programming president Michael Lombardo revealing to EW that “the women are rocking this season — and I’m not just saying that because they’re on your cover.”

“Daenerys (Emilia Clarke) always does, but also Brienne (Gwendoline Christie), Arya (Maisie Williams), Sansa (Sophie Turner), Cersei (Lena Headey), Margaery (Natalie Dormer), and other characters too, like Yara (Gemma Whelan). They power this season. It’s organic to the storytelling, yet a radical shift. It’s the women that are the hope that we’re watching as the chess pieces move this season, and it’s very exciting.”

It’s the latest info dump in a busy week for the Seven Kingdoms, after it was revealed that Game of Thrones season 6 features the biggest battle in the entire series. You’ll be able to catch fleeting glimpses of that encounter via yesterday’s featurette, which spotlights the painstaking work required to bring the White Walkers and their legions of Wights to life.

Send a raven! Game of Thrones season 6 marches onto HBO in time for April 24 – just don’t expect the network’s political drama to spoil George R.R. Martin’s books anytime soon.
