“You are now entering Annville. Home to folks from heaven, hell, and everything in-between.”
The official Facebook page for AMC’s upcoming adaptation of Garth Ennis and Steve Dillon’s controversial DC Vertigo comic series, Preacher, has unveiled a new batch of promo images for the show.
In addition to fresh looks at the Reverend Jesse Custer (Dominic Cooper), his vampiric pal Cassidy (Joe Gilgun) and volatile ex girlfriend Tulip (Ruth Negga), we also have a group shot which provides our first glimpses of supporting characters Emily (Lucy Griffiths), Donnie Schenck (Derek Wilson) and DeBlanc and Fiore (Anatol Yusef and Tom Brooke), who are angels in the comic – though that may be a plot point that’s kept under wraps initially.
In fact, you can expect this small screen take to make quite a few changes to the source material. Although, showrunners Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg have promised that as the show progresses it’ll develop into the batshit crazy Preacher that fans know and love.
The pilot episode of Preacher will première on AMC on May 22. Will you be tuning in?
