Mad Max: Fury Road directer George Miller came very close to putting his stamp on a DC Comics flick with the now defunct Justice League Mortal a few years ago, nut now he might get another chance. A new rumor suggests that he may be the man Warner Bros. has in mind to helm the planned Green lantern Corps film.
On the latest installment of Heroic Insider, former Latino review scooper El Mayimbe reckons he’s heard word that Miller is being lined up to take the reigns of the studio’s Green Lantern reboot, but he doesn’t elaborate any further.
Miller himself has previously confirmed that he’s had conversations with WB about possibly directing one of their upcoming DCEU projects, but never gave any indication of what his options were. At the time it was speculated that it might be the Justice league Dark/Dark Universe adaptation that Guillermo del Toro dropped out of, but a space-set adventure like GLC would also make sense.
This is just a rumor for now of course, but it’s definitely a very exciting prospect.
