“Emancipation” takes place after the events of Civil War, so a tie-in was pretty much an inevitability. In the clip, we see General Talbot sit down with Director Coulson in an effort to convince him to register S.H.I.E.L.D.’s Inhuman recruits and fall in line with the Sokovia Accords.

Talbot tells Coulson not to be pigheaded, and that the Accords are “good enough for The Avengers.” Ever the Sentinel of Liberty fanboy, the Director shows his firm loyalty to #TeamCap with his response: “not all of ’em.”

The episode will also provide more clues about which main character is going to be killed off in the 2-hour season finale. Right now, Mack is the odds on favorite because the cross that YoYo gave him was glimpsed in the midseason opener, but personally, I think that’s just a bit of misdirection.

Hopefully it’ll all become a bit clearer when Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. returns to our screens next Tuesday.
