Noir thriller Terminal may have already entered production in Hungary, but The Hollywood Reporter brings word today that Vaughn Stein’s actioner has made room for a few last-minute cast additions.
Among them is Star Trek Beyond alum Simon Pegg and Mike Myers, who have boarded the in-development feature in undisclosed roles, joining fellow newcomers Mike Myers, Max Irons and Dexter Fletcher of Kick-Ass fame. They now round out an ensemble anchored by Suicide Squad‘s Margot Robbie, who assumes the role of a “dynamic woman” capable of sparking an international game of cat-and-mouse with two hitmen.
Picking up arms as that pair of hired guns are Fletcher and Irons, who “embark on a borderline suicide mission for a mysterious employer and a large paycheck. Along the way, the unlikely pair discover that a dynamic woman named Annie (Robbie) may be more involved than they had originally suspected.”
First picking up steam at the Berlin Film Festival earlier this year, Terminal may be without a release date for now, but it has secured financing through Highland Film Group and Ingenious Media, meaning a late-2016 release window is certainly in the cards.
Having helped nurture a revised version of the screenplay, Simon Pegg will next be seen as intrepid and indeed fan-favorite explorer Scotty in July’s Star Trek Beyond. Margot Robbie, on the other hand, will indulge in the insanity of one Harley Quinn when Suicide Squad rolls around in August.
