Much like Avengers and 2015’s Age of Ultron before it, Captain America: Civil War ignited talk of various character-driven spinoff movies getting off the ground at Marvel.
From a Scarlett Johansson-led Black Widow film – which has shown tangible signs of progress in the past month or so – to The Winter Soldier and even Scarlet Witch, there’s plenty of mileage left in Earth’s Mightiest Heroes that stretches beyond the core ensemble movies.
[zerg]Case in point: Elizabeth Olsen has weighed in on the possibility of her enigmatic Enhanced headlining a standalone movie – not for the first time, mind you – where the actress revealed that she’s not opposed to the idea so long as said movie makes sense in the grand scheme of things.
Word comes by way of Huffington Post, with Olsen noting, “it’s not something I’m opposed to, but it’s also something that has to make a lot of sense. I wouldn’t just do it just to do it. It’d have to make sense for how it advances in the world. But I’d be open to talking about it. I’d never say no to just an idea.”
Beyond the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Elizabeth Olsen has lined up roles in both Taylor Sheridan’s star-studded thriller Wind River and Light on Broken Glass. For now, Captain America: Civil War stands as the actress’ most recent appearance as Marvel’s all-powerful sorceress, but could that change in time for Infinity War?
