Daisy Johnson, AKA Quake (Chloe Bennet), did not have a very easy time of it in season 3 of Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. at all. After being taken over by Hive and made to betray her team, she was then forced to watch as her boyfriend sacrificed himself to save the world. It was all a bit too much for the former hacker, and she returned to her rogue ways with a new goth look in the closing moments of the season finale.
In a new interview, Bennet reveals when the events of season 4 take place, and gives us an idea of Quake’s mindset heading into this upcoming batch of episodes:

I think she feels like when she gets close to people they die or something bad happens to them. Wherever she goes, death follows.
The actress also hints that there might be a Quake/Ghost Rider team-up on the cards – though when quizzed she stops just short of mentioning the nocturnal Spirit of Vengeance outright:
I think I can say I have not been working with our dear cast as much as normal,” she teased. “And I’ve spent some time on the east side of LA… at night…
Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. returns for its fourth (and possibly final) season on Tuesday, September 20th in the new timeslot of 10:00 PM ET on ABC.
