Stake? Check. Cross? Check. Garlic? Double-check. If this is written on a recent notepad of yours, you may be a vampire hunter. That’s okay though, because you can exercise your demons and slay the undead this summer, on the PlayStation Network.
Our friends at Konami have announced their plans to release Castlevania: Harmony of Despair on Sony’s console sometime this humid season, complete with couch co-op and bonuses that the original XBOX Live Arcade version did not have at launch.
The mutiplayer side-scrolling adventure through dark and dingy castles, uses old-school assets from previous entries in the series. This new version will include two playable characters (Julius Belmont and Yoko Belnades) who were previously only available as downloadable content on the XBOX.
Adding onto that, those who purchase it this time around will benefit from the Pyramid of Ruin level, as well as the ability to play with four friends locally, from the comfort of their own couch. The online mode will still support six players though, so there’s no need to worry about that.
If you haven’t already, you may want to get those aforementioned items so that you’ll be ready to slay those night walkers.
