Felix Cartal has had a notable year in 2016, dropping a slew of excellent releases like his Kaskade pair up on “Fakin It” and his single “Keep Up” with Steph Jones, which went on to receive an eclectic remix pack last month. Now he’s back to offer up another solid track with his latest release “Falling Down.”
“Falling Down” opens with a looping, overdriven vocal sample that references the tune’s namesake, layered over an expansive reverb drenched backdrop. The drums soon enter the mix, picking up speed with layered hand percussion samples and driving four on the floor beats. Felix Cartal introduces deep piano chords and soaring strings to contrast the stuttering vocal hooks and electronic rhythms, bringing an organic edge to the song that heightens its excellently crafted production.
With his latest outing, Felix Cartal brings all of his best qualities to the table to deliver a noteworthy single. With its dreamy house vibes and earworm melodies, “Falling Down” arrives as another standout track from the producer that just goes to show why he’s one of dance music’s more promising acts.
“Falling Down” is available now via Physical Presents and can be found here.
