Bungie’s weekly reset of the Destiny servers has come around once more, bringing with it the usual changes to the shooter’s various PvE and PvP content. Nightfall, Prison of Elders and Crucible have all received their respective rotations, with past modifiers and bosses returning from previous resets to keep Guardians on their toes.
Cerberus Vae III, the Strike that everyone loves to hate, makes a return as this week’s Nightfall playlist, with Berserk, Brawler, Fresh Troops and Airborne being the modifiers you’ll need to contend with as you go head to head with the burly Cabal forces. As if the space marines weren’t already sturdy enough, the Berserk modifier will prevent any of their numbers from flinching, regardless of how many bullets you pump them with, so you might want to approach this version of the Strike with close quarters combat in mind, especially as the Brawler modifier increases your melee damage.
Fresh Troops and Airborne increase the number of enemies present in any given squad and the damage you deal while in midair respectively, so make good use of your Guardian’s glide abilities. Sorry Hunters, you’ll have to make do with jumps.
For the competitively minded among you, this week’s Crucible playlists are Inferno Supremacy and Salvage, both of which should be more tolerable, following Bungie’s recent weapon balance patch. Oh, and don’t forget to pay Vosik a visit in Rise of Iron‘s Wrath of the Machine raid. The overgrown Fallen boss is the obstacle to be overcome in order to complete this week’s Challenge Mode. Special armor Ornaments and an emblem are yours for the taking you come out alive on the other side.
Usually, that’d be it until next week’s reset, but you’ll want to keep your eyes peeled on Bungie’s Twitch channel tomorrow, as the developer will be revealing the final sandbox update coming to Destiny before all efforts are redirected to Destiny 2. We’ll keep you abreast of all the new info as and when it comes.
