New Thor: Ragnarok Trailer Promises Redemption For The God Of Thunder

Mark Ruffalo promised that it'd be good and boy, was he right. We are, of course, referring to the brand new trailer for Marvel's Thor: Ragnarok, which the studio showed off earlier today during their panel at San Diego Comic-Con, bringing down the roof in the process. If Thor and Thor: The Dark World were somewhat middling affairs, then the upcoming threequel promises to finally bring redemption for the God of Thunder, teasing what looks to be one of Marvel's strongest efforts yet.

We are, of course, referring to the brand new trailer for Marvel’s Thor: Ragnarok, which the studio showed off earlier today during their panel at San Diego Comic-Con, bringing down the roof in the process. If Thor and Thor: The Dark World were somewhat middling affairs, then the upcoming threequel promises to finally bring redemption for the God of Thunder, teasing what looks to be one of Marvel’s strongest efforts yet.

Thrilling, humorous and full of fan-pleasing moments, this newest look at the film is an absolute stunner, teeing up a clash of epic proportions that will be quite unlike anything we’ve seen from the MCU to date. Unfortunately, the trailer doesn’t tell us too much about the plot, but what we do know is that the galactic adventure will have the titular hero embark on his craziest outing yet.

Soon after Hela (Cate Blanchett) brings Asgard to its knees, Chris Hemsworth’s Avenger is banished to some far-flung corner of the universe, where he’s forced to fight in a gladiatorial arena aboard Sakaar. It’s here, a million miles from home, that our hero encounters an old frenemy in the form of Mark Ruffalo’s Incredible Hulk. “We know each other! He’s a friend from work.” Cue the fireworks.

On November 3rd, Thor: Ragnarok will push Chris Hemsworth’s Norse god to the absolute brink, shattering Mjolnir into a million pieces in the process. Taika Waititi is behind the lens for this one, and he’s continually impressed moviegoers through the likes of What We Do in the Shadows and the really rather excellent Hunt For the Wilderpeople. As such, we’re definitely excited to see what he’s done with the upcoming threequel.
