Would you happen to be looking for something else to do this fall other than visiting the usual cider mills and paying money for people in cheap costumes to leap out at you at the nearest haunted house attraction? Well, if you fancy yourself a huge fan of the Friday the 13th film franchise, a unique opportunity has presented itself – but you’re probably going to have to act quickly.
As it turns out, the fourth public tour of Camp No-Be-Bo-Sco is set to go down on Friday, October 13th 2017. That’s right, the real life location that served as Camp Crystal Lake during the filming of the original movie from 1980 will soon be open to a select amount of diehard fans and trivia buffs. In fact, one could say this is doubly special with it being a real location that’s still standing, as opposed to a backlot.
Should you be interested, you can check out the official details provided by the press release below:
As with past tours, the number of tickets will be very limited. Every tour attendee needs a ticket – no exceptions. No tickets will be available at the gate on the day of the tour.
Tickets will be announced in two groups:
Group 1) To show our appreciation for our most dedicated fans, the first group of tickets will be announced via email to anyone that has made a minimum $50 souvenir purchase in our online shop between January 1st, 2017 and 7am the day the tickets go on sale. ($50 minimum not including shipping).
Group 2) After that, the remainder of the tickets will be announced to our general mailing list. You can join the mailing list here. Please note that tour announcements will only be made on the mailing list and will not be posted anywhere else.
Furthermore, it’s important to note that tickets will go on sale during the week of August 28th, 2017 immediately after the announcement email is sent. That gives you less than a week, so start following the steps listed above and making plans if this sounds like it’s up your alley.
With the Friday the 13th franchise itself being in an unfortunate state of uncertainty right now, Jason Voorhees devotees could sure use an uplifting experience such as this. Still, we recommend that you and your friends not LARP with a foam machete should you be lucky enough to be selected.
