If Wilson does indeed join the cast, he will be joining already confirmed actors Michael Fassbender, Charlize Theron, Idris Elba, Guy Pearce, Noomi Rapace, Logan Marshall-Green and Rafe Spall.

Latino Review reported on Wilson’s possible casting in Prometheus, citing an excerpt that appeared in a St. Petersburg Times article about his role in A Gifted Man. The excerpt reads:

Wilson will need to leverage everything he’s learned from Shorecrest (Preparatory School) to a new role in the highly anticipated Alien prequel Prometheus (directed by original Alien auteur Ridley Scott) for his latest challenge-creating a rare TV drama success on Fridays.

There has also been speculation on the synopsis of Prometheus, as Alien Prequel News has photos of the film’s torn-down set from Pinewood Studios in England. The movie, which is set for release on June 8, 2012, reportedly follows a team of scientists and explorers on a thrilling journey that will test their physical and mental limits. The team will be stranded on a distant world, where they’ll discover the answers to humans’ most profound questions.
