The First Trailer For Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom Is “Almost” Ready To Drop

Pack the binoculars and get ready for a trip back to Isla Nublar; the first trailer for Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom is imminent.

Perhaps in fear that it would be overshadowed by a little-known Marvel property called Avengers: Infinity War, it seems Universal quietly scrapped plans to unveil the first trailer for Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom on Thursday evening.

Earlier this week, we caught wind of the studio’s timeline, after Trailer Track unearthed a now-pulled teaser that suggested Fallen Kingdom‘s inaugural preview would drop during the Cowboys vs. Redskins NFL game. Now, as we approach the week’s end, there’s still no sign of Universal’s premiere. But a trailer is coming – and soon, according to director Juan Antonio Bayona.

Via Twitter, the Spanish filmmaker has now posted a screengrab of the iconic MPAA splash screen, along with the caption, “almost there.” Surely it’s only a matter of days before Universal blows the lid off Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom? We’ll be a keeping a close eye on the studio’s social channels over the weekend, so keep your peepers peeled.

Lucasfilm’s sequel is on the verge of becoming a box office juggernaut, so it’s all but certain that Hollywood’s leading studios will be scrambling to attach their biggest assets to it – Fallen Kingdom included.

If that really is the case, then this long-anticipated teaser could be with us as soon as next week, as history tells us that most major studios tend to release their trailers online a few days before they play in theaters. Back-to-back previews of Infinity War and Fallen Kingdom, anyone?

Dubbed a “darker and scarier” evolution of Universal’s box office monster, Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom opens big on June 22nd, 2018.
