Mad Max: Fury Road Actress Wants To Play Poison Ivy

We've had a couple of major actresses linked to the role of Batman villain Pamela Isley AKA Poison Ivy in the DC Extended Universe before now - including Megan Fox and Jessica Chastain. In response to a Tweet from a fan who declared they would like to see her as either Batgirl or Poison Ivy, Mad Max: Fury Road‘s Riley Keough made clear that she supports the idea of joining the DC universe – particularly as her favourite character, Poison Ivy. Taking to Twitter, she wrote: I love Poison Ivy, she’s my favorite.

Keough, who you might have also recently seen in Logan Lucky earlier in the year, has been known to go red-headed for a variety of roles in the past, which is probably why this fan decided she would be a perfect fit for either of DC’s flame-haired women. More than that, though, Keough is another actor whose star is on the rise, much like Gal Gadot, Ezra Miller and many other DCEU talents were when they were catapulted into super (hero) stardom by the franchise.

Right now, there are a few upcoming movies in which Poison Ivy could appear. The most obvious is David Ayer’s Gotham City Sirenswhich will see Margot Robbie’s Harley Quinn team up with Ivy and Catwoman. As that doesn’t seem to be being fast-tracked into production, however, we might see Ivy first in The Batman or that Harley Quinn solo movie. Or possibly even in Suicide Squad 2

Time will tell, but until we get some concrete updates from Warner Bros., take to the comments section down below and let us know who you’d like to see as Poison Ivy in the DC Extended Universe. Is Riley Keough a good choice for the role, or did you have someone else in mind?
