Though all eyes might be on Black Panther right now, and understandably so, there’s another Marvel release on the horizon worth getting excited about. One that’ll land before Avengers: Infinity War.
Yes, we’re talking about Thor: Ragnarok. Following its debut across Digital HD on February 20th, Marvel’s cosmic threequel will hit home video on March 6th, and when it does, it’ll come packing a wonderful array of special features. Whether it’s a rib-tickling gag reel or the masterfully crafted 8bit scenes – this extra, in particular, renders Ragnarok‘s greatest moments (see: the final bridge battle) as a retro video game – many fans have already deemed the Blu-ray to be a day-one purchase. And we couldn’t agree more.
Now, to tease us with what’s in store, Marvel’s released a brand new trailer. Granted, it’s made up of footage that you’ve likely seen already, since it’s all pulled straight from the film itself, but it’s still nice to get a reminder of all the great moments that the threequel brought us. Plus, there’s a tease of the various special features that’ll be included on the disc, too, which is sure to excite fans.
With a global box office haul of $841 million, Thor: Ragnarok won’t just go down as one of 2017’s most gorgeous films, but also one of the year’s most successful. With that in mind, it’s no wonder Taika Waititi is already beginning to drop hints about working with Marvel on a future project.
The New Zealand filmmaker is currently one of the most sought-after creators in the business, and though his zany Black Widow pitch might be too much of a stretch, it’s nigh on certain that Waititi will be back working within the MCU sooner rather than later. Other Marvel characters are still on the table, it seems, though he’ll likely stick with the God of Thunder. And can you really blame him?
