With all the posters, promotional art and various other forms of merchandise circulating in advance of Avengers: Infinity War, it sure can be difficult to keep track of everything. That said, all you can really do is gravitate toward whatever may catch your eye and savor the hype surrounding this monumental team-up flick.
Speaking of posters, one in particular has caught the attention of some True Believers, specifically those with sharp eyes actively discussing the highly anticipated film over on Reddit. In fact, the little hiccup they discovered is quite humorous, and it’s downright baffling how anyone let this mistake slip by.
As you can see below, Shuri didn’t just create an improved robot arm for Bucky Barnes over in Wakanda, but she seemingly gave him an organic wrist as well. Or, at least, that’s the impression we’ve been given by seeing actor Sebastian Stan’s bare skin.
Of course, this was an honest mistake, as Stan was likely given a sleeve and glove to wear for the photo shoot, but someone should’ve Photoshopped his wrist along the way so that it could blend in. Really, there’s no way we can unsee it now.
Come to think of it, this was a missed opportunity on Marvel Studios’ part to create some product placement for fine time pieces. In the past, Tony Stark had flaunted his watch collection, so why can’t Bucky be a corporate shill now? Simply superimposing a Rolex or something would’ve done the job just as well, with perhaps an accompanying tagline like “time to avenge” serving as the cherry on top.
Avengers: Infinity War arrives in theaters on April 27.
