Diamond Dallas Page Explains Why The Unholy Two Won’t Be In 3 From Hell

Part of what made Rob Zombie's The Devil's Rejects such a hit amongst fans was that it boasted a wide array of colorful and entertaining characters. Many of whom, in fact, could've probably spawned spinoffs of their own. Chief among those is The Unholy Two, comprised of bounty hunters Rondo (Danny Trejo) and Billy Ray Snapper (Diamond Dallas Page). And while we know that the former will be back for the sequel, 3 From Hell, what about the latter?

Well, according to Page, there’s just no room in the film for him. Apparently, he spoke with Zombie about it and over on Twitter, the wrestler-turned actor explained to fans that they couldn’t find a way to fit Snapper into the story.

Talked with @RobZombie about #3FromHell and Billy Ray Sniper just didn’t fit into the story. @officialDannyT is going to be an Unholy One this time around. I am pumped to see it and you should be too!! #DevilsRejects

While that’s certainly disappointing to hear, we can still rest easy knowing that at least we’ll have Rondo back, not to mention the titular trio themselves. Yes, despite seemingly meeting their end after a grisly police shootout in The Devil’s Rejects, Otis, Baby and Spaulding will be returning in the sequel and though how exactly they survived remains unclear, we imagine Zombie will dig into the supernatural in order to explain it.

Also starring Austin Stoker (Assault on Precinct 13), Dee Wallace (The Howling, Cujo), Dot-Marie Jones (American Horror Story) and Tom Papa, there’s still no word of a concrete release date for the movie, but fans of Rob Zombie’s eccentric oeuvre can go on enjoying updates from the Firefly Family, safe in the knowledge that 3 From Hell is coming together quite nicely.
