Josh Brolin of Avengers: Infinity War has delivered a last-minute message to those anticipating the biggest ban in Reddit history.

Members of popular subreddit ‘r/ThanosDidNothingWrong’ are currently bracing for a digital purge the likes of which we’ve never seen before, with moderators expected to ban half the community – a figure which amounts to around 300,000 people at the time of writing – sometime later today.

Those waiting to pull the trigger are yet to disclose an official time, though the sheer audacity of Reddit’s master plan has piqued the curiosity of several key figures, including Josh Brolin, who posted a special message (see here) for the subreddit before things get underway. He’s not the only one, mind you; Infinity War directors Joe and Anthony Russo have also “submitted to the culling,” and posted the following pic via Instagram (h/t Screen Rant) to announce their return to social media. And not a moment too soon…

Ever since this story began picking up traction late last week, ‘r/ThanosDidNothingWrong’ has ballooned in size – there are precisely 627,413 ‘Black Order members’ subscribed to the community at press time, a significant jump up from the 100,000-odd Redditors who helped bring this meme-worthy purge into the public eye.

It’s all in honor of the Mad Titan’s ultimate goal, of course, which is to reduce half of all life in the universe to dust in order to protect the remaining survivors from overpopulation and the starvation that follows. And now that the Russo Brothers have officially subscribed, members are asking that only one director survive the purge – you know, in the name of perfect balance.

We’ll be keeping a close eye on Reddit’s servers as the total population of ‘r/ThanosDidNothingWrong’ is halved instantaneously later today, so be sure to stay tuned.
