Stephen Amell Teases Mystery Cast Member For Arrowverse Crossover With BTS Video

By now, I think it's safe to say that Stephen Amell is considered to be the unofficial ambassador of the Arrowverse. I mean, not only does he get to make a fair amount of cool announcements, but he's also confounding us all with cryptic social media posts on a regular basis, each of which assure we're kept on the edges of our seats.

By now, I think it’s safe to say that Stephen Amell is considered to be the unofficial ambassador of the Arrowverse. I mean, not only does he get to make a fair amount of cool announcements, but he’s also confounding us all with cryptic social media posts on a regular basis, each of which assure we’re kept on the edges of our seats.

This time, he may be drawing influence from his love of professional wrestling, perhaps knowing the intrigue that accompanies the idea of the mystery tag team partner. While offering fans a teaser of what’s going on during filming of the “Elseworlds” crossover in a video posted on Twitter, Amell showed us all that one seat on set doesn’t have a name assigned to it, which you can view below.

As you can see, Amell, Emily Bett Rickards, David Ramsey, Carlos Valdes, Danielle Panabaker, Melissa Benoist and Grant Gustin have each been given a special place to cool their heels, but what of that person not acknowledged? Odds are he’s not referring to Ruby Rose, because we’ve known about her being cast as Batwoman for some time now – not to mention that badass photo which revealed her costume earlier this week.

If anything, this’ll make the next two months even more torturous because we’re left pondering the identity of the surprise addition. It’s probably not crazy to say it’ll be someone playing a major DC character yet to be introduced – or even someone who’s played a notable hero or villain in another production and will reprise that role here.

Either way, we’ll find out soon enough, as this fall’s Arrowverse crossover begins on Sunday, December 9 with The Flash, continues on Monday, December 10 with Arrow, and wraps up on Tuesday, December 11 with Supergirl.
