Still, November isn’t over until it’s over, and so MCU Cosmic’s Jeremy Conrad has just published a piece weighing up the various possibilities for when this teaser might arrive, and as with much of the recent trailer-related speculation, it all comes back to the Avengers: Infinity War screening and Q&A hosted by co-directors Anthony and Joe Russo on the 28th.

Conrad starts off by observing how this Hollywood event may not finish until as late as 11:00pm Pacific Time, making it a less-than-ideal time for the trailer to drop, especially for fans and media outlets on the East Coast. Nonetheless, it’s suggested that the footage might instead be released prior to the screening, allowing the Russo Brothers’ event to serve as the trailer’s big screen debut.

Should this be the case, Conrad goes on to observe how neither The Lion King nor Artemis Fowl had the date and time of their respective teasers premieres telegraphed in advance, suggesting that Disney might be just as mysterious in their handling the Infinity War sequel. Alternatively, the Russos could be using their Q&A as an opportunity to announce a future date for the trailer to drop. But should the 28th come and go without any such news emerging, it’s argued that the chances of the footage coming out this week are slim.

In his post, Conrad stresses that he’s not making a case for why the Avengers 4 trailer will probably arrive this week, but is simply looking at the various ways its release could play out. As it stands, we’re all fairly in the dark on the matter, but while the team at Marvel Studios is staying tight-lipped when it comes to this particular topic, we at least know that the film itself is headed for cinemas on May 3rd, 2019.
