Marvel President Kevin Feige confirmed the preproduction of The Avengers 2 at a panel for The Avengers at the 2012 New York Comic Con, saying that Iron Man 3 is “the first of what we refer to Phase Two of this Avengers Assemble talk, which will lead to an Avengers 2.”
The panel Feige presented at, promoting The Avengers, also included Tom Hiddleston, Chris Evans, Colbie Smulders, Clark Gregg, and Mark Ruffalo as a surprise guest. The teaser trailer for The Avengers was shown, as well as a clip showing how Bruce Banner (The Hulk) is introduced to the club.
Reportedly, Tom Hiddleston, who plays Loki, did most of the talking, dazzling his many fanboys and adoring lady fans. Although, no amount of Hiddleston charisma can match the magnitude of Feige’s announcement: apparently this whole Avengers madness is never going to end.
The teaser for The Avengers looked pretty awesome, and I’ve enjoyed most of the flicks leading up to the film. I’m not really sure how long this marathon can run though. What do you think? Let us know in the comments.
