Could This Be The Plot Of The Dark Knight Rises?

To sum it up - Bane takes over Gotham because he ends up injuring Batman (Christian Bale) pretty badly. So much so that Batman leaves for a few months to recover. Bane keeps the city full panic-mode, because apparently most people believe that if they go bad, they'll be safe from Bane. This leads to Gordon (Gary Oldman) trying to save the city by himself, getting himself hospitalized in the process. Bruce goes to visit him in some kind of disguise, fueling Batman's return.

Looks like the rumor floating around that The Dark Knight Rises is based on the plot of a comic book called Batman: No Man’s Land is completely false. Photos of Bane (Tom Hardy) with a large machine (supposedly some kind of earthquake maker) fueled the rumor, but Cosmic Book News received word of the film’s (allegedly) real plot.

The only part of this that sounds remotely cool is Bane corrupting normal citizens. Otherwise it sounds kind of lame. I’m thinking these details didn’t come from the best source, because if The Dark Knight Rises is going to top The Dark Knight, it’s gonna need a lot more than this.

CBN also heard there will be no Robin at all in the series, which is a little disappointing. It would have been cool to see Nolan’s take on him, especially if he ended up being Joseph Gordon-Levitt‘s character.

Anyways, that’s the latest on TDKR rumors, but if we hear anymore we’ll be sure to let you know.
