The show follows the captain of the former team of the Seven Deadly Sins, Meliodas, as he attempts to get the gang back together again to fend off the Holy Knights and assist Princess Elizabeth with reclaiming the Kingdom of Liones. The big problem for Meliodas is that he and his former crew will have to stop a variety of villains who plan to annihilate the earth.

There are five seasons of the original series, two OVAs, and two movies that make up The Seven Deadly Sins universe. Needless to say, this is a lineup that’s sure to keep you occupied for at least a few weeks.

This is without mentioning the completely new spin-off series headed to Netflix in 2024. Here’s the way you’re going to want to go about watching these releases.

  • The Seven Deadly Sins: Grudge of Edinburgh (Season 2)
  • The Seven Deadly Sins: Four Knights of the Apocalypse (Season 1)
  • The Seven Deadly Sins: Four Knights of the Apocalypse (Season 2)

This order should flow perfectly outside of the movie, Cursed By Light, as this film takes place midway through the final episode of the series. If you want to be pedantic, you could theoretically pause the episode halfway through and check the film out before continuing.

However, watching the series in its entirety and then the film doesn’t detract from its greatness.

Four Knights of the Apocalypse is the next and final addition to this watch order arriving on Netflix on Jan. 31, 2024. The show is a spin-off of the original series set 16 years after the Holy War.

The series includes an entirely new generation of characters but is grounded in the same reality, so we suggest catching up on the main series before starting Four Knights of the Apocalypse.

The Seven Deadly Sins is now available to stream on Netflix.
