The feature-length episode finally revealed the victorious one in the intense battle, but the story is far from over. An image of the Hashira served as the extra-long episode’s final shot and gave a preview of the upcoming season.

Will Demon Slayer get a fourth season?

It’s now official, Demon Slayer will return for season 4 and adapt the Hashira Training arc, the tenth arc in Koyoharu Gotouge’s manga, to continue the story. The official Twitter account of Demon Slayer announced the news on June 18 with a 1-minute long video featuring all the returning Hashiras.

After Tanjiro, Nezuko, Genya, and Mitsuri battled to vanquish Hantengu, everyone was astounded in the Season 3 finale when Nezuko emerged unscathed and emerged as the demon able to survive the sun. Season 4 of Demon Slayer will now see Tanjiro begin his training under the strongest Hashira, Stone Hashira Gyomei Himejima as he will have to face off against Muzan Kibutsuji, who is now more determined than ever to find Nezuko.

In the original manga, the Hashira Traning Arc is only nine chapters long, from 128 to 136. It is thus being speculated that Season 4 might also cover the first half of the overarching final battle and adapt the ‘Infinity Castle Arc‘ too. If the speculations come true, viewers will be able to watch multiple massive battles in this next season.
