Universal Studios has announced Steven Spielberg‘s E.T.: The Extra-Terrestrial for Blu-Ray in October.
If there’s one film that director Steven Spielberg made that touched all of our hearts it would be E.T., his charming and warm film that tells the tale of a boy and his alien friend. It’s an American classic and it’s been far too long since I’ve last watched it.
E.T. will be coming to Blu-Ray this fall as part of Universal Studios 100th Anniversary, which means it’ll be jam-packed with features, plus a DVD and digital copy of the film.
The version of the film presented on this disc will be the original 1982 theatrical cut in 1080p with a 7.1 DTS-HD Master Audio track. Here’s a list of the special features:
- All-new Steven Spielberg & E.T. interview
- The E.T. Journals 5 Behind-the-scenes featurettes
- Two deleted scenes from the film’s 2002 version
- Designs, photographs, and marketing elements
- Original theatrical trailer
- Special Olympics TV spot
E.T.: The Extra-Terrestrial will hit shelves sometime in October.
