Welcome to We Got This Covered’s Deals of the Day. In this brand new column, we’ll be scouring the web in order to bring you hot deals on Blu-Rays and video games. Today, we’ve found a couple deals that we think you’ll be very excited about.
1) Arrested Development: Seasons 1-3
Finished season 4 of Arrested Development yet? If so, you should be extremely thankful for the hordes of fans who bought seasons 1-3 on DVD in the years since the show first went off the air, showing there was indeed a demand for more. If you want to join those fans in owning your own copy of the set, there’s no better time than now, as Amazon is offering a pretty great deal on all three seasons.
Regularly $69.98, this week you can get all three seasons for only $24.99, which is a 64% discount. Now you may be thinking that you can watch all the episodes on Netflix already, so there’s no need to buy the DVDs. Well, what the DVDs have that Netflix doesn’t is a ton of great audio commentary, a bunch of deleted scenes, and some quality featurettes that are a must-watch for any Arrested Development fan. If you love the show and you pass up this deal, you’re definitely going to regret it.
2) Die Hard: 25th Anniversary Collection
Die Hard, the film that turned Bruce Willis from TV actor into A-list action star, is every bit as enjoyable today as it was 25 years ago when it first smashed its way onto the big screen. The sequels that the original spawned have ranged from epic to rather ridiculous, but all of them are still great for some good old fashioned action fun. The ’80s was the ultimate decade for action, and the Die Hard franchise is the pinnacle of that style.
If you don’t already own these films on Blu-ray, you’re in luck, as the awesome 5-disc 25th anniversary collection is a deal of the week over at Amazon. Usually $59.99, the set has been marked down to a mere $24.99, which is a whopping 58% off. Considering buying all the films individually is a hassle and much more expensive, there’s no reason not to go for the convenience of this set.
The first four discs include the first four movies in the franchise: Die Hard, Die Hard 2, Die Hard With A Vengeance, and Live Free Or Die Hard. The fifth disc is one full of special features called Decoding Die Hard. If you’re an action fan who has somehow struggled through life without owning a copy of these films, then this is a deal you simply can’t miss.
