Anchor Bay has announced the Blu-Ray release of One in the Chamber, starring Cuba Gooding Jr. and Dolph Lundgren, for August.
Cuba Gooding Jr. hasn’t had the best career as of late, mostly starring in straight-to-DVD B action films, but occasionally he provides us with a performance that reminds us why he was once Oscar material. One in the Chamber isn’t one of those performances (at least I wouldn’t think so), but it does look kind of fun.
The film also stars Dolph Lundgren, who appears to be getting pumped up for The Expendables 2.
Both men look to be fully embracing the cheesy one-liners, while kicking each other’s asses in between. I can’t say that One in the Chamber is going to be any good, but it just might make for an okay Saturday night rental with the buddies.
One in the Chamber comes to Blu-Ray with a 1080p video transfer and a 5.1 lossless audio track. An audio track with director Will Kaufman has been confirmed as the only bonus feature.
Check out the trailer below:
In Prague, two skilled assassins make themselves available for hire to the Mafia. However, when one assassin, Carver (Gooding) takes a job with a gang he was once hired to eliminate, it launches into an all-out mob war where survival is about as certain as the number of bullets left in the clip. To make things worse, another assassin (Lundgren) has been hired to take out Carver and the result will make the streets run red. As Carver battles with his inner demons as well as his very real enemies, ONE IN THE CHAMBER doesn’t let up until the very last man goes down.
One in the Chamber hits Blu-Ray on August 21st, 2012.
