Warner Bros. has announced Wrath of the Titans for 3D and 2D Blu-Ray in June.
Despite its poor box office results in America, Wrath of the Titans is actually a giant step up from Clash of the Titans. The action is better, the 3D actually works and the special effects are impressive. Unfortunately the movie came out during The Hunger Games territory, so it quickly fell off the charts and out of everybody’s mind.
I didn’t come out loving the film, but I appreciated its attempt at correcting the wrongs from the previous adventure. Still, there are a handful of problems that shouldn’t be present and the film doesn’t push the genre to the limits.
Our very own Matt Joseph had this to say about the film in his review:
Admittedly, Wrath of the Titans is a step up from its predecessor but that’s not saying a whole lot. It’s by no means a good film and unless you really enjoyed the first film, there’s no reason you should see this.
The film will make its way to Blu-Ray in two forms: a 3D Blu-Ray/2D Blu-Ray/DVD/Digital Copy combo pack and a 2D Blu-Ray/DVD/Digital Copy Combo pack. Both will be presented in 1080p with a 5.1 DTS-HD Master Audio track and the following bonus material:
- Two Maximum Movie Modes: The Path of Men or The Path of Gods
- Individual Maximum Movie Mode featurettes (can be viewed separately)
Wrath of the Titans will be available to own on June 26th, 2012.
