If you have not been online lately, you may not have seen the drama surrounding actor Jonah Hill. A former partner recently accused him of emotional abuse, and now, actress Alexa Nikolas has joined the fray with claims about him preying on her when she was 16. Hill’s lawyer Martin “Marty” Singer has called her allegations unfounded and now, the Zoey 101 veteran is taking on the former Cosby counselor, too.

The 31-year-old posted the above on Twitter earlier today in response to Singer issuing a statement to Deadline Hollywood about the claim of Hill being aggressive toward her at a party. As Nikolas alludes to, Singer has regularly used this kind of language in the past (one need only look to his time defending Bill Cosby in 2016 to see examples) and attorneys often resort to these kinds of attacks on credibility when someone comes out with a claim against powerful men like Kevin Spacey before and during court trials.

In replies, the amount of people who are supporting Nikolas and attacking her are about even as of this story’s filing. One user refers to her as the derogatory term for a female part of human anatomy while for another, what Singer is saying is a great example of why women do not usually come forward in these kinds of cases.

Not many have joined the discourse for now, but — in an add-on to her earlier remarks — Nikolas does note when you apply Singer’s logic to some of his other famous clients, you can see how strange it is. Essentially, Cosby can fit within the mold he is using to attack her, and, she argues were it not for money, he would be singing a very different tune about some of the famous clients he has had through the years.

What will happen next with Hill and whether he will resort to litigation remains to be seen. Nothing has been filed yet and Hill himself has not commented directly on any of the claims or released messages.
