While Barbie is all ready to entertain the fans, some of the movie’s cast were in for a big surprise after they spotted pop superstar Nicki Minaj on the pink carpet at the Los Angeles premiere on Sunday.

This includes American Ferrera, who failed to conceal her surprise and excitement at seeing Minaj. The actress – who was being interviewed at the time – expressed her embarrassment at her inability to contain her enthusiasm saying, “I can’t believe I just did that on camera. That was so embarrassing.”

Margot Robbie was also one of the lucky ones to have encountered Minaj, and both of them were seen posing for a photo on the set with the former clad in an elegant black gown with matching gloves, and the latter in a casual purple outfit. Speaking on this experience, Robbie said, “Oh my god, that was iconic. I’m dying, I’m gonna have to take a minute later to be like wow I actually just got a picture with Nicki Minaj.”

The rapper made her way into the star-studded premiere attracted an exorbitant amount of attention, and she was mostly seen socializing with Robbie. Her appearance isn’t completely random, as her release of the film’s soundtrack – “Barbie World” in collaboration with Ice Spice – makes her an integral part of the film.
Besides Minaj, the extravagant premiere saw quite a lot of renowned faces present, and it certainly sets the foundation for the visual treat that the viewers are in for.
Barbie will be released on July 21, 2023.
