Princess Mia and Lord Nicholas’ long-lasting love story may not have seen its ending after all, that is, if Chris Pine‘s eagerness to be back on The Princess Diaries set is anything to go by.
During the premiere of Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves, anchored by Pine himself, the 42-year-old actor opened up about the possibility of returning to the fantasy kingdom that offered him a home in 2004. Amidst news of the return of the Genovia kingdom for The Princess Diaries 3, speculation has been arising about the possible returnees for the Disney original movie, and while Pine did not precisely confirm his return to ET, the actor surely showed interest in possibly going back to his roots.
“Yeah, I’m here! I’m here for it. Give me a phone call or an email.”
Aside from his wish to reprise his role of Lord Nicholas Deveraux, Pine also jokingly said he’d opt for a “low-profile hair helmet,” as opposed to the almost pompous hairdo befitting of a lord running for the throne. Despite his wish for a different look for the modern monarch, the film is likely to be a long way to reach its audience, as the actor begins the promotional stage of the upcoming fantasy film where he battles an arsenal of fiery beasts.
The actor played Anne Hathaway’s Princess Mia Thermopolis in the second installment of the Disney franchise, The Princess Diaries 2: Royal Engagement. Rivals turned friends turned lovers, the duo became the most powerful force in the fantasy land of Genovia. News of the return of the series was announced in November, and while everything appears to be moving slowly, fans will undoubtedly have the chance to see their favorite prince and princess duo once more.
In the meantime, Pine can be found in Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves on theatres, March 31.
