Good news for Fear Street fans! After delivering a phenomenal performance as Deena in the three-part adaptation, actor Kiana Madeira is ready once again to return as the protagonist in the franchise.
Besides the slasher trilogy, Madeira delivered a memorable performance in the MMA drama, Perfect Addiction, and fans are interested to know what she has to say about her new film.
In an interview with Collider, Madeira mentioned various aspects of the film which appealed to her, which includes the unique storyline, her representation as a boxer, and a fresh female perspective on the film and the storyline.
Turns out that not everything about the interview revolved around Perfect Addiction, though, as the actress in another interview discussed her role in Fear Street. Responding to the question about whether she would reprise her famous role in the popular slasher franchise, Madeira mentioned her interest to make a comeback. “Yes! I love Fear Street I love the fan base that we got from that, [and] I love R.L. Stine, so definitely, I’m definitely open to returning for those, too” she said when the question was raised about her possible appearance.
Saying so, it also needs to be mentioned that the new movie which would constitute the fourth installment in the overall franchise hasn’t received a green light yet and it is believed that it is still in its pre-production phase. So, does Madeira’s hint at her eagerness to come back as Deena a confirmation that the fans will be treated to another movie, or is it just a passing remark?
We’ll just have to wait and find out what becomes of the rumored fourth movie.
The first three Fear Street movies are currently available to stream on Netflix.
