Claudia Jordan might have come a long way from being on The Real Housewives of Atlanta but the reality star has recently expressed her interest in returning to the show. Speaking to ET’s Kevin Frazier on the BET Awards Red Carpet, Jordan explained that even though she has failed to keep up with all the drama and entertainment that the show has to offer, a prospect to join the series is an enticing one which she will not refuse if given the opportunity.
Sharing her thoughts on the subject as well as her life following the show, Jordan shared,
“I don’t watch Housewives anymore. Once I wasn’t on the show I watched it two more times. Some people go on there and they make it their entire life. It was a great experience and I still get love to this day, and I would definitely go back.
I’ve done so many other things, and I’m really loving my time kind of popping in and out of The Breakfast Club in New York, films, producing and I wrote a stage play.”
Jordan was indeed a memorable member of the show despite her presence being short-lived – thanks to the innumerable dramas and fights in which she was embroiled as well as her flawless fashion and sassiness, all of which contributed to her being a perfect candidate.
However, her abrupt departure raised a lot of questions and fans started to speculate that she was fired because of her conflicts with fellow contestant, NeNe Leakes. The rumors about her firing were later rebuked by Jordan who clarified that the constant drama to which she was subjected prompted her to leave.
She added that even after asking her to rejoin, she refused the offer. The reasons she gave were a low paycheck, as well as a general discomfort to reprise her role as a friend of one the cast members. “They asked me to come back as a friend, which was a downgrade after I fought and earned the peach. Now you want me to come back with a pay cut. I do it for the money. I’m there for the money,” was what she revealed on the subject on Brandi Glanville’s Unfiltered podcast.
Later she also added her troubled dating life as a cause on Instagram, saying, “Didn’t want to come back as a friend of the show and that was my only option if I wasn’t going to share my relationship on the show. At the time the guy I was seeing had too much to lose going on there (super successful and known but I kept it very private like usual) and good thing we didn’t go public on the show.”
Today Jordan is a well-known producer and talk show host. But still, one would undoubtedly wish to see her resume her role as a Housewife.
