Young actor Joe Locke, who came to prominence in the hit Netflix show Heartstopper, was pretty much willing to do anything to get into the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and apparently it worked because we’ll be seeing him soon in Agatha: Coven of Chaos, the follow up to the mega Disney Plus hit WandaVision.

Locke, in an interview with EW, said that after his career took off he had high hopes that he could play “the first queer Disney prince or Marvel Superhero.” He put all of his energy into making an appearance in the MCU happen, and it looks like things worked out for him just fine.

“I had never been that determined about anything before,” he said, “which i think meant that I was putting my energy into it.”

Doing that is “never going to harm a situation,” he said. However, he doesn’t strictly blame his own volitions for getting him to where he is today.

“… I also think I’ve just been one of the luckiest people in the world in the last two years.” He won the lottery and he knows it! Good kid.

While plot details for the show are behind lock and key at Marvel, a recent appearance by Broadway legend Patti LuPone on The View in April gave a few hints, even if LuPone wasn’t supposed to say anything. She said the show would focus on a group of witches that included Kathryn Hahn, LuPone, Aubrey Plaza, and supposedly Locke.

“She didn’t have any filter because she’s Patti LuPone,” Locke said. “She’s incredible and I love her so much, but I remember we were all on set watching the interview and we were like, ‘No! Patti, stop talking! Stop talking!’ It was like a ripple effect. Everyone was like, ‘Have you seen Patti’s interview?!'”

Regardless of what he’s playing, at the very least we know he’s going to be doing something in the show, which is scheduled for release on Disney Plus in 2024.
