Actress and singer Hailee Steinfeld is getting candid about her dating life.
The 26-year-old, who is currently single, was romantically linked to One Direction’s Niall Horan, Cameron Smoller, and Charlie Puth over the years. During the digital cover story for People magazine, Steinfeld opened up about the particular requirements she wants her future significant other to have.
The Hawkeye star claimed that she wants a supportive, loving individual who makes her want to be a better person. Steinfeld would add that although she doesn’t have a set list of requirements, she is excited for what the future has to offer. The Pitch Perfect 2 star shared details about the feelings she gets spending time with her family, which she says has helped her look for similar emotions.
“I ultimately want someone who supports me and who I can support and cheer on and be their biggest fan. I’ve been lucky enough to spend so much time with my family recently, and I have so many shining examples of what it should feel like to be with someone that makes you a better you and happy. I’m not really looking, so I don’t have a list of things. But I think the right person comes along when they do, and I imagine that’s the greatest thing ever.”
Further in the discussion, Steinfeld disclosed that although she can’t wait for the moment when she settles down, falls in love, and have a family of her own, the Bumblebee star also wants her future life to “emulate” what she grew up around. While mentioning that she is content with her personal and professional life, Steinfeld stated,
“It’s an exciting thought to me, that part of life happening when it does, and I can only hope that it emulates what I grew up around. Right now, I feel more confident in who I am than ever, and I just feel so grateful to be doing what I love.”
As far as Steinfeld’s professional life, the actress is set to reprise her role as Gwen Stacy in Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse, which is scheduled to be released in theaters next month.
