The legal trouble for America’s drippy punching bag, Rudy Giuliani, just got more serious as he’s being sued for sexual assault and harassment by a former associate. This time it’s not a gag, like it was in Borat 2, where he was seduced by actress Maria Bakalova portraying Borat’s fictional daughter, Tutar Sagdiyev.
The accusations include making sexual demands of associate Noelle Dunphy, who claims to have recordings of Giuliani going on “alcohol-drenched rants that included sexist, racist, and antisemitic remarks,” per local reports. Dunphy was hired in 2019 as Giuliani’s director of business development (hopefully she wasn’t in charge of buying hair dye), and she said he started abusing her “almost immediately.”
“He made clear that satisfying his sexual demands-which came virtually anytime, anywhere-was an absolute requirement of her employment and of his legal representation,” per the lawsuit. Giuliani offered her $1 million a year, the lawsuit said, but because he was in the middle of a divorce, he would keep her job “secret” and defer her payment until the divorce was finalized. Shady.
Dunphy alleges that Giuliani used the job offer as a cover so that he could carry out a quid pro quo sexual tryst with her. He is reportedly recorded saying, “I’ve wanted you from the day I interviewed you.” If we’re being honest, she sounds underpaid.
That would be enough for anyone to sue, but it gets much, much worse. The lawsuit said that after Dunphy had been working for Giuliani for a week, he flew her to new York in a private plane and put her up in his swanky apartment on Manhattan’s Upper East Side.
After some drinking, according to the lawsuit’s account, “Giuliani then pulled her head onto his penis, without asking for or obtaining any form of consent. He held her by her hair. It became clear to Ms. Dunphy that there was no way out of giving him oral sex. She did so, against her will.”
The former New York mayor would reportedly ask Dunphy to work in a bikini, or without clothes on at all. He bought her a pair of short-shorts with the American flag on them, and asked her to wear that as well. Again, per the lawsuit:
“When they were apart, they would often work remotely via videoconference, and during those conferences Giuliani almost always asked her to remove her clothes on camera. He often called from his bed, where he was visibly touching himself under a white sheet.”
Maybe the most uncomfortable thing of all is the fact that no one is surprised by this behavior. It’s 100% believable that Giuliani, the man who sold his soul for former President Donald Trump, would do this. Mind you, I’m not saying he did do it. I’m just saying it’s not hard to believe. Especially if you’ve seen the Borat clip.
Giuliani has yet to respond to the allegations. Dunphy is asking for $3 million. We’ll keep you posted.
