Even though Star Wars contains a plethora of epic moments, a die-hard fan will always recall the soul-wrenching parting words between Mark Hamill‘s Luke Skywalker and Darth Vader who died protecting his son Luke from his evil master and dictator, Emperor Palpatine.
This marks the climatic denouement of the last movie of the original trilogy, Star Wars: Return of the Jedi which — to the millions of fans’ delight and excitement — has once again graced the big screen across North America and the UK allowing the franchise’s ever-swelling fanbase a huge opportunity to revisit and experience the film in theaters.
For many viewers, this is their first time watching the movie on the big screen given its release exactly four decades ago. Nevertheless, the immense fame and popularity that RotJ has borne over the years will have yielded positive results owing to its millions of dollars collection at the box office just during the weekend
After all, who doesn’t wish to travel to the galaxy and engage in an arduous battle with Luke, Leia, and Han Solo in overthrowing the Empire’s brutal regime? Saying so, the huge turnouts and the movie’s positive reception haven’t gone noticed as it was acknowledged by Luke Skywalker himself who recently took to Twitter to thank the fans for showing up in large numbers at the theatres.
Hamill also shared a glimpse behind-the-scenes, revealing footage featuring him and his co-stars, Carrie Fisher and Harrison Ford, in a seemingly amusing conversation. He went on to wish that the audience’s had a similar experience watching Episode VI. Hamill’s comments left a trail of sweet outpouring for the stars as well as their love for film.
Hope you all had as much fun watching #ROTJ on the big-screen as we had making it. ❤️ https://t.co/2ONgvncCZu

Just like the film’s original success, here’s a hope that the rerelease will see a similar level of breakthrough popularity as well as a solid commitment by the fans.
