First it was Carrie Fisher, then Peter Mayhew, and now it seems Star Wars has lost another one of its own — Paul Grant. Known best for portraying an Ewok in Return of the Jedi and a goblin in multiple Harry Potter films, Grant was a man of many talents.

Whether in Labyrinth, Legend, or Willow, Grant left a lasting impression on his fellow cast and crew — of which one, among many others, has taken to Twitter to express his condolences. Star Wars legend Mark Hamill shared his thoughts surrounding Grant’s untimely passing earlier this morning.

Sadly, this isn’t the first time Hamill has had to do this. Often as the years go by and the original Star Wars cast members get older, Hamill ends having to say his goodbyes via the internet. And although that may not seem very fair, at least we all get to say goodbye in the first place.

After collapsing outside of King’s Cross station in London, Grant was rushed to the hospital, where he was officially declared dead sometime later. At 56 years young, Paul Grant was taken from the entertainment community far too early. He is survived by a loving girlfriend, three children, stepchildren, and adoring grandchildren.

In a way, Grant’s passing at King’s Cross station seems only fitting. As fans will remember, King’s Cross is the exact portal in which Harry and friends find themselves swept off to Hogwarts. We hope, wherever he is, Paul Grant has found peace — and with any luck, a bit of magic, the kind that he helped bring to life on screen.
