Well, as director Matt Reeves begins building the cast for his upcoming sequel to The Batman, some fans seem to think they’ve found his villain. As of now no real information has come out surrounding the film, but that still hasn’t stopped DC diehards from speculating — with many thinking that the horrifying Clayface could be the next big bad Batman takes down.

Enter David Dastmalchian. You know him. He’s been in everything. More than that, Dastmalchian is no stranger to superhero roles. Most recently David Dastmalchian played Veb in Quantumania, a gooey and incredibly interesting friend of the Ant-Man gang. But that’s not the only Marvel role Dastmalchian has landed, also playing Kurt in the same Ant-Man series.

Whether it’s Piter De Vries in Dune, Polka Dot Man in Suicide Squad, or a Goon in The Dark Knight — Dastmalchian does it all. Now fans think his acting chops would be perfect for Clayface, and we don’t disagree.

A sweetheart in real life, David Dastmalchian has certainly had a penchant for playing quirky characters over the years. His signature style would be perfect for Clayface, and bring a level of strangeness to the role that the Reeves Batman requires. For now though, this still remains simple speculation — all anyone can do is dream.
