Comedian Wayne Brady is a showbusiness journeyman of sorts, appearing in countless different shows and projects over the years (he was Barney’s brother in How I Met Your Mother, for example), but he’s now returning to what he does best: Improv Comedy in the form of popular DROPOUT.tv show Make Some Noise.
Make Some Noise is a “game show” where contestants get prompts and are required to improv them on the spot. It’s a fast moving show that doesn’t take itself too seriously, with a revolving cast of improvisers every show.
Basically it’s a really fun time. Brady was announced as a contestant on Season 2 of the show today in a preview video that features a little snippet of Brady singing (starts at 1:12).
Fans of this sort of thing (improv comedy) were delighted at Brady’s inclusion, mostly because Brady is kind of an improv legend (I know) due to his tenure on the very popular improv show Whose Line Is It Anyway. Improv is, as a rule, incredibly unfunny but there’s 1% of it that is.
Hopefully, this show can mine that 1%. Brady has been fairly busy as of late, although not really in the comedy arena. He appeared on the reality show Dancing With The Stars and hosted the American Music Awards last year.
He also appears in the docuseries for The Game Show, a docu series about, you guessed it, game shows. No word yet on when the Brady episode of the show will air, but the show is available here. DROPOUT.tv costs $6 a month.
