According to Celebrity Net Worth, Frances Bean Cobain’s estimated net worth is around $200 million. While Cobain has been quite the success in her own right, it’s impossible to deny her father’s massive contributions towards that enormous number.

Currently, Cobain owns the publicity rights to her father’s name and image, and seeing as how Nirvana’s music is still massively popular, those licensing fees certainly must add up. She also inherited a sizeable portion of Kurt Cobain’s estate when she turned 18. Legal filings suggest she blew through $11 million of her inheritance, though Cobain herself has denied this. These same legal filings suggested she was set to inherit even more money when she turned 30, hence the high estimate on her net worth.

Over her lifetime, Cobain has also purchased and sold two different homes in the Hollywood Hills. The first sold for $2.4 million in 2018, and the second sold for $2.3 million in 2022 — both of these sold for more than she originally purchased them for. It seems Cobain may have an eye for real estate!

But it’s likely that at least some her current funds come from her modeling and artwork. Cobain has graced the pages of major magazines like Elle and Harper’s Bazaar. Her artwork has been displayed at major art galleries, like the La Luz de Jesus Gallery in Los Angeles. She also done a joint art exhibit with Mindless Self Indulgence bass player Lindsey Way.

Besides this, she was also the executive producer for the HBO movie Kurt Cobain: Montage of Heck, which likely earned her a sizeable paycheck. She also appeared as a guest judge on RuPaul’s Drag Race for its fourth season.
