Whether you’re digging Tom King’s current run on Batman or not, you have to admit that the current two-issue arc is something special. Despite their storied courtship that’s been going on since 1940, Batman and Catwoman don’t meet up as often as one would think, let alone get some alone time – at least “on camera.” Well, there was 2011’s Catwoman #1, which received some undeserved backlash, but that’s a conversation for another day.
In next week’s conclusion of “Rooftops,” expect to see Bruce Wayne and Selina Kyle admit they love each other, which is a huge step for both. I would even go as far to say this is the closest thing Bruce has ever had to a stable relationship, but I wouldn’t count on the feline fatale moving into stately Wayne Manor anytime soon. Unless, of course, they end up conceiving themselves a Huntress much like their Earth 2 counterparts did.
In addition to that, the gallery above showcases some dynamic action scenes that follow some Austin Powers-esque perspectives courtesy of the cinematic artistic stylings of Mitch Gerads. Who said we have time to catch our breath before “I am Bane” kicks off next month?
Batman #15 arrives in comic shops next Wednesday, January 18. But before you experience the love for yourself, be sure to check out the official synopsis below:
