Titanfall
Though it was set to be a Call of Duty killer, Respawn Entertainment’s much hyped Titanfall definitely turned out to be a bit of a disappointing experience and certainly did not live up to its lofty promises. Admittedly, the multiplayer was fast-paced and often enjoyable, but a completely forgettable single player campaign, horrible artificial intelligence and not much variety left many people abandoning the game far too soon after its release.
Surprisingly, Titanfall scored quite high with critics, and had most gamers singing its praises off the bat. Yet, when the dust settled, and the hype died down, it just couldn’t keep my interest. Repetition set in and a lack of outside the box thinking left the initially fun multiplayer feeling rather stale.
Sure, Titanfall has seen the inside of my console a handful of times over the last couple of months, but unfortunately, a Call of Duty killer it most definitely is not.
