Rumours are constantly circulating about Red Dead Redemption receiving the remaster treatment from Rockstar Games, and given some of the information that has been found in recent days, it’s looking like a real possibility. Here’s hoping that these rumours end up coming true, though, because we’re not the only ones who would love to revisit John Marston’s rough and tumble world on present day consoles. And no, we’re not talking about backwards compatibility.

Back when it was announced, Red Dead Redemption wowed and amazed us with its rich-looking world and gorgeous visuals, and it ended up delivering on both of those fronts and more.  Our hope is that, while announcing a brand new Red Dead game, Rockstar will also mention that Red Dead Redemption is in the process of being reworked and updated for the Xbox One and PS4, or whatever their successors end up being. That would give us the best of both worlds, and it’s surely nothing that anyone would ever scoff at.
