Don’t Adjust Your Screen, Alien Fear Really Does Look This Good

I admit, I had to do a double take when I first saw these screens. I simply couldn’t believe that I was looking at actual shots from a PSN/XBLA game, but City Interactive’s Alien Fear does indeed look this good. The arcade shooter will use the full power of the Unreal Engine 3 when it’s released in the Fall of 2012.

Alien Fear puts the player in the role of a highly trained elite commando on a mission of sabotage. Featuring non-stop, visceral run-and-gun action in an explosive environment with meaningful co-operative gameplay and using proven Unreal 3 technology, Alien Fear sets a new standard for digitally distributed XBLA and PSN titles.

It blows my mind to think that just a few years ago I had to help my friends build new computers to handle Unreal Engine 3, but now it’s something we can fully utilize for downloadable titles. Technology is really something, isn’t it?
