The brief period following Christmas is usually filled with sales and discounts both online and in-store, and retail giant Amazon is no exception to this rule. While most of us conjure up images of speedy shipping and a plethora of packages, it looks like Amazon has something a little different in store for their upcoming ‘Digital Day’ sale, which is set to kick off very soon.
The Digital Day sale will begin on December 30th at 12 AM Pacific/3 AM Eastern Standard Time. As opposed to having a sale on physical products and goods, it looks like Amazon will be focusing on digital content, whether that mean download codes for video games, digital versions of soundtracks, or streamable versions of hit movies.
Here’s the description from the official page for the sale:
Amazon Digital Day is the deal event for your devices. For one day only, get up to 50% off over a thousand TV shows, movies, music, apps, mobile games, eBooks and more. The savings start on Friday, December 30. Whether you’re gifting or receiving gadgets this year, this 24-hour sale is one of the best times of the year to shop for must-have digital content.
While Amazon hasn’t gone into specific detail on what games will be discounted, the promotional material suggests that you’ll be able to save big on games such as Rocket League, Destiny: Rise of Iron, Titanfall 2, FIFA 17 and Dragonball Xenoverse. If you’re looking to take advantage of some discounts right now and don’t want to wait until the 30th, be sure to check out the final week of the PlayStation holiday sale.
