Despite a flurry of leaks that spoiled the debut of the game, Electronic Arts closed out its E3 2014 press conference with an extended look at a multiplayer match from the upcoming Battlefield Hardline.
Taking a page from the Payday playbook, Hardline shifts the series away from the war-torn battlefields that it is known for and instead will focus on the fight between cops and robbers. The gameplay clip that was shown provided an extended look at the fast-paced and blood soaked multiplayer component. While a bit of the violence we see here will undoubtedly turn some people off, the Visceral Games developed title seems like it will fit right in with the other entries in the franchise.
Besides the extended look at the game, EA also announced that a limited beta for Battlefield Hardline will launch today for the PlayStation 4 and Windows PC. There are a limited number of spots available, though, so if you are interested in signing up for the beta, make sure to do so quickly.
Battlefield Hardline will launch on October 21 for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and Windows PC.
