Bethesda has confirmed plans to host the first E3 press conference in the company’s history, slating the event for Sunday, June 14 in Hollywood.
While the esteemed publisher remained coy on the specifics of the conference itself, the Internet is already rife with speculation. In particular, many are assuming that Bethesda is opening up the play to stage its own show in order to unveil the long-rumored Fallout 4. Still, even though there is a considerable amount of pent-up demand for the next iteration in the series, it’s almost certain that the studio will use the window of time to detail more information pertaining to games both old and new. The question is, what could those new titles be?
Alas, it’s all conjecture at this early stage. In saying that, there has been a series of reports the peg Fallout 4‘s post-apocalyptic setting to Boston, Massachusetts, and while it’s likely that Bethesda has made some alterations in the time that has passed, don’t be too surprised if Boston happens to be the main wasteland that players will be exploring come release.
But Fallout 4 isn’t the only property in the publisher’s roster, far from it. It’s already teased development of a next entry into the Doom franchise, while many have assumed that development on a sequel to Dishonoured is all but confirmed. Time will tell whether these nebulous properties will come to the fore.
