Bethesda Softworks has once again promised that the long-delayed downloadable content for the PlayStation 3 version of The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim will eventually be released.

Speaking on Twitter, the publisher’s PR and marketing boss Pete Hines responded to a question about the lack of communication on the status of Skyrim‘s missing PS3 DLC, saying:

“…We continue to work on it. And content will be coming to PS3. Will give details when I have them.”

Bethesda has experienced a tremendous amount of problems with the PS3 version of The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, the most notable being that the game was almost unplayable until the 1.4 patch was released four months after the title’s launch. With that in mind, it is hardly a surprise that Bethesda has yet to get any of Skyrim‘s DLC running on the PS3, even though the Xbox 360 version of is nearing the release of its third piece of downloadable content.

It is nice to hear that they are still trying to get Skyrim‘s DLC working on the PS3, however, I can’t help but wonder if it is worth the effort at this point. We are a year out from the launch of The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim now, and I doubt that there are many PS3 players still interested in the game’s DLC. I could be wrong, but it just feels as if the too much time has passed.
